Need to get used to this...

I need to get used to blogging. I hit up Instagram everyday, but journal like blogging is still new to me. Let's see...what's new...

Hit 266 on 4/11
Showed 269 this morning

PMS sucks, my appetite is insatiable the entire week before my period. I am fighting to behave today after a horrible 4 days this week. I know a lot is carb bloat and will go away with drinking water, but it's still depressing.

Exercise this week...

Gwen (my 4 year old) and I did 1.8 miles on Wednesday night and 1.9 miles last night. Going to take a break tonight as were are both a bit sore.

Normally I try to stay under 1,000 kcal per day but this week looked like:

Mon - 2,050
Tues - 2,590
Wed - 1,985
Thurs - 3,970

If I use a generic calculation at 266 lbs I would need 2,282 to maintain my weight and in total I was only 1,467 calories over which shouldnt even be half a pound up. Makes me hope that if I get enough water in me I will lose all but half a pound because I am meticulous about weighing everything I eat. Even when I binged I calculated it, which was easy because we buy all individual packaged so I know how much I ate.

I just wish it would come off at least half as easy as it went on. I'm very grateful to not be 293 lbs anymore, but dont feel any different at 269 (or even at 266). I would love to be in One-derland before my business trip in September, but I would settle for being in the two-teens.

Anywho, just thought I would give all ZERO of my readers an update on my life. No pics since this is a mobile post. Have a great day and we will "talk" soon.

First Post

WOW! So much I feel like I should tell you about me but so I don't bore you I will just give you the basics, because I'm sure you'll learn more as time goes on.

About Me:

  • I'm 32 years old
  • I'm a mother to an amazing 4 year old girl
  • I'm a wife to my best friend
  • I'm a geek, love Doctor Who, Star Trek, and more
  • David Tennant is my next husband
  • I've been in Call Center Workforce Management since 2004
  • I love my job
  • I also own my own hobby business as well doing vinyl decals and heat press designs
  • I'm an avid crafter, scrapbooking, sewing, card making, basically if it takes creativity I love doing it
  • I love to learn. I am constantly striving to better myself personally and professionally
  • We are following the Dave Ramsey Baby Steps in order to become debt free and at our current pace we will get to do our SCREAM in June 2017
  • My family is planning to relocate from Illinois to Florida in the summer 2017

Weight facts (because weight doesn't define who I am):
  • I'm 5'4"
  • I started at 293 lbs on 03/14/16
  • That's a BMI of 50.3!!! Morbidly Obease
  • I've lost 24.5 lbs in 3 weeks
  • I've never been happy or confident with my body, even when I was only 130 lbs my Sophomore year of high school, I thought I was fat
  • I've been overweight since I graduated high school, I've YoYo-ed since then.
  • I got down to 230 in April 2014, broke a toe, then blew out an ear drum, steroids destroyed my progress
  • I love to run, I'm too fat to run, but I love it. I love the burn in my lungs and the freedom I feel.
  • My goal is to run a half marathon by the end of the year
So today I tried to run, I almost hit an 18 minute mile, but slipped on some moss on a bridge, landed on my hip and finished at 19:01. Then the next 1.22 miles I did at about 20m/mile because I was walking/limping. Finally called my husband to pick me up because the pain was shooting from my hip to my foot.

At least my view was beautiful

Forgot to shut off my watch until I sat down in the car, so it is a little over 2 minutes off, but the calorie burn is amazing:

Assuming my hip isn't killing me tomorrow I'm going to try to do another 2 miles, doing a mile one way and then turning around and coming home.

These are the apps I have on my phone. I am working on the 5k Runner one and always Map My Run because it syncs with MyFitnessPal

I track anything that passes my lips on MFP and LOVE IT!

I know thinking about losing 163 lbs is a lot and very scary, but I know I can do this To make it easier I have set multiple smaller goals for myself:

GW1 250 - Veggie Spiralizer
GW2 230 - Doctor Who: Official Guide on How to be a Time Lord

GW4 199 - Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Eleven Doctors Legos
GW5 189 - Silhouette America Roll Feeder

GW7 160 - David Tennant Life Size Cardboard Standup
GW8 150 - Knee high boots
GW9 140 - Doctor Who TARDIS costume
UGW 130 - Whole new wardrobe (maybe sooner if I'm happy with the way I look)
